Welcome To Georgia Poodle Rescue!

Georgia Poodle Rescue is registered in the state of Georgia as operating  under Georgia Poodle Club Incorporated. We are a licensed and permitted 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.  Our mailing address is 12850 Hwy9N, #600-230, Alpharetta, GA 30004.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide sanctuary for unwanted poodles, poodle mixes, and other animals as resources allow and educate people in economical and cost effective ways to own, maintain, and feed their dogs with true nutrition. Once these dogs have been properly rehabilitated and trained, our goal is to adopt these animals into appropriate, loving, and responsible “forever” homes.  Our adopters are contracted to return adopted dogs if they can no longer care for them no matter what period of time has passed since the initial adoption.

A FAIR CHANCE

We want our adopted dogs to be adopted into their forever homes on the first adoption and not be bounced around from home to home.  To help ensure our dogs have a good chance of meeting this goal, we are the first rescue organization that we know of that commits to having our adopted dogs already trained in basic obedience and pack leadership protocols, with instruction to their new owners and ongoing support and consultation for the lifetime of the adopted dogs.

WHERE DO YOUR DONATIONS GO?

We rely on your donations to continually allow us to be able to rescue new dogs and to care for our existing dogs, some of which will most likely be permanent residents due to their age and/or other conditions.

You can control exactly where your donation is applied by your specific instructions to us.  All other donations are applied to the costs of running a rescue and shelter, which include veterinarian medical care and supplies (spay/neuter, vaccinations, exams, emergency fees), nutritional care and supplies (food-we use kibble and the raw meaty bones diet as well as make our own home-made and healthy nutritional food for the dogs), kennels, stainless steel bowls and holders for food and water, healthy water, rescue efforts and fees, grooming, training, utilities (electric, water, web site maintenance and development, internet, phone), transportation, licensing, phone, and much more.

Although we have much property for the dogs to run around and have fun on, we want to expand our private shelter building by raising funds to increase our space.    As such, we are always in need of funding, food, other types of donations, good foster homes and volunteers to help us out at our adoption, fundraiser, and other events.  We are also in the process of forming various committees and are looking for people to help lead, manage, and volunteer on these committees.

YOU ARE NEEDED AS A VOLUNTEER

Won’t you help the poodles by donating your time in fostering, volunteering, donating food, and/or funding?   The poodles are relying on you!

You can contact us via email at georgiapoodlerescue@gmail.com , via phone at 678-624-0444, and via US mail at 12850 Hwy9N, #600-230, Alpharetta, GA 30004.

Thank you for leading the way in caring and making a difference in the lives of these poodles and poodle mixes.
