Thank you Attorney Dave, Cecie, Cathy and Sandy for giving up your Sunday, waking up with the birds, and helping us with our contestant dogs at the Atlanta Pet Fair Grooming Contest!  We couldn’t have done it without you!  Here is a pic of us with sleepy eyes in the grooming room early in the morning (we had to be at the Airport Hilton at 7AM).  Pics of our winners coming soon!
 
 
A VERY BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our Board Director, Counsel William Moseley on his prestigious promotion to Chief of Staff at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority!!!  Way to go, Bill!!!  Give Bill a big CONGRATS and tell him you are proud of him on our FaceBook Page!!!   Bill still plans to come to Atlanta every few weeks, and we are gracious to Bill for volunteering his time to expand the area to help us with home visits in the Jacksonville, FL, area.  However, prospective adopters still need to drive to Alpharetta, GA, for the meet and greet and possible adoption as we do not allow our dogs to be shipped.

COME JOIN GEORGIA POODLE RESCUE FOR OKTOBERFEST WITH AUTHENTIC GERMAN FOOD AND MUSIC, DOG CONTESTS WITH PRIZES (WE WILL BE COLLECTING THE ENTRIES, FUN, RAFFLES, VENDORS OF PET FOOD AND PET PRODUCTS IN CANTON ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2012.  THIS WILL ALSO BE A FUNDRAISER SO WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR A FEW HOURS OR ALL DAY AS WE WILL BE BRINGING A FEW DOGS FOR EXPOSURE AND ADOPTION.  EVENT OPENS AT 11am AND CLOSES AT 4PM.  PET CONTEST AND JUDGING BEGINS AT 1PM.  CATEGORIES OF CONTEST ARE OLDEST DOG, YOUNGEST DOG, BEST COSTUME, SMALLEST DOG, TALLEST DOG & POSSIBLY MORE.  THERE WILL BE PRIZES FOR THE CONTESTS AS WELL AS DOOR PRIZES.  MORE DETAILS COMING SOON BUT EMAIL US ASAP IF YOU CAN VOLUNTEER!

LOST WHITE MALE STANDARD POODLE NAMED BEENO-ATLANTA

We are trying to help this person find their standard poodle.  Poodle was in a photo shoot and escaped on Saturday, 9/30/12 in the Little Five Points area at Moreland and Euchlid in Atlanta.  The poodle ran southbound on Moreland Avenue, likely past Dekalb Avenue, or around that area. Our own Cassanova won 9th place out of 50 dogs in a grooming contest sponsored by Atlanta Pet Fair!  Cassanova is a sweet white standard poodle available for adoption!  Won’t you be that lucky person to give him a loving home?

NINE YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY GIRL DONATES HER GIFTS TO GEORGIA POODLE RESCUE!

Quinn Tisdale of Alpharetta, GA, just turned 9 years old. In lieu of birthday gifts at her party, she asked her friends if they could bring something for the dogs at Georgia Poodle Rescue! How wonderful is that! How unselfish is that! Her mother Ellen is doing a great job at raising Quinn for Quinn to give up receiving gifts for herself and instead wanting to help the poodles in Georgia Poodle Rescue. You see, Quinn and Margot adopted a standard poodle last year and Quinn loves her dog so much that she wanted to help the dogs in Georgia Poodle Rescue! Thank you Quinn and Margot for your generosity! Our dogs loved the squeaky toys you donated and we were able to divide the towels and blankets and have soft comfy bedding for the poodles as well!
